Andrey Turygin has the title of the "honoured artist" of Russian Federation, he is a saxophone player, composer, band leader. He was born in 1968 in Novosibirsk. He finished Novosibirsk State Conservatory in the class of professor Vladimir Tolkachiev. He has a great experiance in playing both, jazz and classical music. He had different creative projects with Andrey Kondakov, Anatoly Kroll, Bobby Watson, Carmen Bradford, Andre Villiger, Denise Perrier, Arno Bornkamp, Vincent David, Nicolas Prost and many others. He played also with Ernie Watts and Igor Butman. He is soloist and leader of the saxophone group in the Jazz big band led by Vladimir Tolkachev, part of the Novosibirsk Philarmonic. He teaches in Novosibirsk's music college and the special musical school for gifted children. He is the founder of the Siberian saxophone quartet. With the « Andrey Turygin sextet »he is playing his own jazz compositions. He also performs classical music, as a chamber musician and soloist with the Novosibirsk Symphony orchestra, Novosibirsk Chamber orchestra and the Siberian Brass.
